Citizens for Quality Health sponsors First Forum for Health Reform Ideas

 

Calgary, Alberta - May 10, 2006    Citizens for Quality Health (CQH) hosts its first conference on health reform at the MacEwan Hall ballroom at the University of Calgary from 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, May 27, 2006.  Through input from experts and the public, the purpose is to bring to light new and innovative ideas for improving the health care system and the health of Albertans.  Attendees can expect to hear many practical, proven and cost-effective ideas to improve health care.

 

Here are some highlights of the keynote speakers and panelists:

 

ü      Dr. Larry Olhauser, formerly with the College of Physicians and Surgeons for 20 years and CEO for 12 years and brings a strategic operational insight to health care services.

ü      Dr. Russell Greenfield, MD, the first of four doctors trained under Dr. Andrew Weil at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Centre and is the medical director of Carolinas Integrative Health.

ü      Nadeem Esmail of the Fraser Institute has extensive insight into the quality, costs and options for health care across Canada and the world.

ü      Dr. Terry Willard, one of North America’s leading Clinical Herbalists, author of 10 books on the subject of Herbs, is an active practitioner, teacher and is the director of the Wild Rose College of Natural Healing

ü      10 other keynote speakers and panelists, including representation from professional fields such as Doctors, Nurses, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, Dentists, Lawyers and Clinical Directors.
